Handling challenges associated with large-scale data systems requires making tradeoffs due to practical considerations such as latency, availability, and system reliability. In this talk Francesco will present a high-level overview of these issues and the theories behind the tradeoffs used to address them, and then show how a NoSQL database core for distributed systems work. Also how such a core provides the key ingredients necessary to realize these tradeoffs and achieve the scalability required for today's large data systems.
